About
Dr. April Kern's goal is to enhance the health and value of each patient's life by providing excellence in dental care. Dr. Kern attended the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the prestigious Wharton School of Business in only three years. Prior to dentistry, she was a management consultant in London, England. Dr. Kern received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida, where she was the only student in her class to be awarded the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award of Merit. After dental school, Dr. Kern gained advanced training in dental implantololgy and cosmetic dentistry by completing a one year intensive General Practice Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Kern is affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Spear Study Club, Reston Chamber of Commerce, and the American Academy of Women Dentists. Dr. April Kern is an Invisalign Gold-Plus Provider in Reston, VA. When Dr. Kern is not practicing her passion of dentistry she enjoys yoga, pilates, barre classes, horseback riding, and spending time with her family.
