About
Dentists Betty Jo Hirschfield Louik DMD, and Megan M. Huyett, DMD Mt. Lebanon and Pittsburgh PA practice a full scope of general and cosmetic dentistry with expertise ranging from porcelain veneers to dental implants, crowns and bridges. Dr. Hirschfield Louik and Huyett can now correct a wide variety of so-called permanent cosmetic dental problems, and can literally redesign your smile. Dr. Betty Jo Hirschfield Louik is a 1984 graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated first in her class. She was elected to the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, as well as Phi Beta Kappa following her graduation from Chatham College in 1976. While in Dental School, Dr. Hirschfield received numerous honors and awards, including the American Association of Women Dentists Award, the American College of Dentists Award, the Alpha Omega Fraternity Award, and the Dr. Ann Welch Award for Oral Surgeons. After a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Hospitals in Pittsburgh, Dr. Hirschfield began her private practice at her current Mt. Lebanon location. In addition to teaching at Pitt's dental school for four years, Dr. Hirschfield's professional associations include membership in the American and Pennsylvania Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Team for Implantology, and the highly-regarded Seattle Study Club. In 1996, Dr. Hirschfield received her Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, which supports the continuing education efforts of dentists. In addition, Dr. Hirschfield has received the Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award in 2012, 2013, and 2014, America's Best Dentist Award for 2013 and 2014, and is a Charter Member of the Peer Reviewed Dentists. Pittsburgh Magazine has named her a Top Dentist every year since the award commenced in 2007. Just recently, Dr. Betty Jo was honored to be named one of Mt. Lebanon's Great Alumni for 2014, recognizing her service to the community and her profession. Dr. Megan Huyett is a 2013 graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was also elected to the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon and received numerous awards including the Alumni Clinical Excellence Award in Geriatric Dentistry, The Northeastern Society of Periodontists Award, and a Merit Scholarship based on Academic Performance. Dr. Huyett completed a general practice residency at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Seattle Study Club.
