About
Dr. Medynskyj received her undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2003, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While working as a chemical engineer, Dr. Medynskyj longed to be part of a profession that combined engineering, artistry, and the well being of others. She found dentistry to be the perfect fit. Dr. Medynskyj attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2009. While in dental school, she worked in a biomedical research lab focused on tissue engineering. Dr. Medynskyj received a pre-doctoral student research award which was published in IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Publication. Graduating at the top of her class, she received a prestigious award for academic and clinical excellence in prosthodontics from the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Medynskyj's practice philosophy is to provide a comfortable and caring dental experience using the highest standard of care. She has a gentle touch and sincerity that puts patients at ease. Dr. Medynskyj is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society (SDS), and the Chicago Dental Society (CDS). Dr. Medynskyj regularly attends continuing education courses and stays on top of current evidence-based research. She is a member of the Spear Study Club. Dr. Medynskyj is also Invisalign certified. Dr. Medynskyj is married and has two children, her son Merrick and daughter Celine. Dr. Medynskyj is also an accomplished pianist. She looks forward to growing a relationship with you for many years to come.
