About
Dr. Cheryl Siegel received her DDS from Northwestern University Dental School, in 1984, in Chicago. Immediately after graduation, she had the pleasure of working with her father Dr. Irving Siegel in New York, until 1988 when she moved to Raleigh. Her first four years in Raleigh she worked in downtown Raleigh. She opened this practice location in 1992. Professionally, she has always striven to improve her dental and leadership skills. In 1997 she received her Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry after completing over 2000 hours of continuing education. After many years on the board, she was president of the North Carolina Academy of General Dentistry in 2001. As one of the founding mothers of the North Carolina Association Women Dentist Triangle Chapter, in 1994 and 2017-18 she was president of the organization. She has also been active in the NCDS and the Raleigh-Wake county dental societies since living in Raleigh. In 2015 she became a Fellow of the International College of Dentists(ICD). Over the years she has had the pleasure of volunteering her time. She has assisted at Wake Smile clinics and health screenings throughout the community and is a supporting dentist for Donated Dental Services. Her most memorable volunteer experience was the MOM event in New Orleans in 2006, where they performed dental treated on the victims of Katrina. Outside of dentistry In Spring 2013, 2014 and 2015, 2017 and 2019 she joined the UNC-Moldova Partnership Dental Mission. Part of the Partnership for Peace between the two countries, and supported by the ICD and Rotary Club, this mission is an educational, cultural and dental volunteer program, teaching UNC and Moldovan dental students dentistry while working on orphans and indigent children in Moldova. She hopes to continue this mission in the future. In her free time, Dr. Siegel loves outdoor activities- running, fishing, skiing and travel with her family. Her quieter activities include reading, painting, gardening and bird watching.
