About
Dr. Cheryl Sorbero was born on Long Island, NY and grew up in Amsterdam, NY. Dr. Sorbero graduated from Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, NY with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She then received her D.D.S. degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC in 1999 and went on to complete her Orthodontic residency, also from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Sorbero served as class secretary and was a member of the Alpha Omega Fraternity. Dr. Sorbero is trained in all aspects of orthodontic treatment including early treatment, adult treatment, invisible aligner treatment, and orthodontic surgery. Dr. Sorbero holds many memberships including the American Association of Orthodontists, The American Dental Association, The Northeast Society of Orthodontists, The New York State Dental Associations and The Third District Dental Society. Following residency Dr. Sorbero worked as an associate in the Washington DC area, as well as Las Vegas, NV, providing orthodontic care in very busy and diverse practices before moving back to the Capital Region to raise her family. Dr. Sorbero has been in private practice in Albany, NY since 2009. Her office is located behind Stuyvesant Plaza and is easily accessible via I-87.
