Office Manager / Dental Assistant is always overwhelmed and communication is mediocre. Dentist does sloppy work. There were always issues with billing. Very poor communication. Office was clean but all of her equipment was outdated. She takes forever to order crowns/bridges etc. My advice based on my experience is to avoid this dentist and her practice!

Hadn't been to a dentist for a few years as was traumatized by previous dentist -- ended up having to have a root canal -- cannot believe how gentle Dr. Schmeler was -- I DID NOT NEED ANY PAIN MEDICATION AFTER THIS PROCEDURE!!! Never have I had an experience like this -- made going to the dentist a wonderful experience!

Dr. Schmeler and Louetta are the best they just took of 7 fillings for me and were fantastic!!

I took my 7-year old daughter to Dr. Schmeler because we live in Shadyside and our previous pediatric dentist was 20 miles away. Poor rating b/c, two months after receiving a filling from Dr. Schmeler, my daughter developed severe discomfort w/ same tooth. I had to take her to another dentist who determined the filling was placed over top of tooth decay that should have been removed first. Now my daughter needs a pulpectomy. Dentist said Schmeler's work was sloppy / not done well for a child.

Shady billing practices. Don't do pre-certification but tell you they do. Then try to charge more once work is done.
