About
Dr. Zwiercan provides comprehensive and cosmetic dental treatment to all of his patients. Whether it™s a small filling on a back tooth or a full set of veneers, he takes pride in his attention to detail to achieve an esthetic and functional result for every procedure. Don't tell anyone, but he's a secret nerd that consumes continuing education materials to stay on top of cutting edge techniques. As such, he offers "tried & true" treatment modalities with a modern twist to optimize outcomes and patient comfort! Dr. Zwiercan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago: College of Dentistry. While at UIC, Dr. Zwiercan honed his craft and was awarded the Gould Memorial Scholarship by the Dean, Dr. Sue Rowan, in honor of clinical and academic excellence! Outside of private practice, Dr. Zwiercan devoted 8 years to his Alma Mater as a Clinical Assistant Professor where he shared his wisdom and experience to give real-world context to the principles the students learn in the classroom and the clinic. As a fitness- and Chicago sports- enthusiast, Dr. Zwiercan was a member of the Academy of Sports Dentistry and has forged relationships with some of the city™s professional sports teams. He has served as an on-call dentist for the Chicago Bulls and was particularly honored to be recognized as the official team dentist for the Chicago Fire professional soccer team. Nowadays, you will likely find him at the New Lenox LA Fitness where he religiously spends his lunch breaks. Following the lead of Dr. Kulig, he also gets coached by Golf Pro, Bob Schulz, at Sanctuary Golf Course. Currently, Dr. Zwiercan lives in Homer Glen with his wife, Nicole, who is a former Village Trustee, Registered Dental Hygienist, and recent Mrs. America title holder. Together, with their son Cristiano and their daughter Ashlynn, the Zwiercans love going out to dinner for family dates or going to Emagine Theater for movie night. Saturdays are typically spent cheering on Cristiano at travel baseball games. Sundays are for Church and preparing for the week ahead. As they™ve navigated Ashlynn™s diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, the Zwiercans have become champions for both children and adults with different needs and have embraced opportunities to collaborate with Special Olympics Illinois, the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Unlimited Playgrounds, as well as the Center for Independence to advocate for inclusivity and accessibility in their communities. In their spare time, Dr. Chris and Nicole go out with friends for a nice dinner. Most evenings end with a good movie or maybe 9 episodes of the TV show, Suits.
