In order to fulfill our vision, my team and I must always stay up-to-date on the latest and greatest in dentistry. We will always strive to delivery the best product imaginable and I think you will notice that when you visit our state-of-art office. I refuse to provide care to you with anything less than the best technology. That's why I have averaged nearly five times the annual requirement for continuing education since my career started. Later this year, I will be taking the prestigious Fellowship Examination of the Academy of General Dentistry. This distinction is achieved by less than 5% of general dentists. Ultimately, it's my job to walk you down the best path to optimal oral health. This includes giving you the knowledge and confidence to make excellent decisions about which avenue to pursue. In my practice, my patients make their own decisions. I'm there to help and give you recommendations on the options out there. We will work together…but you are the boss. Together we will make a plan that is custom-built for your goals, your budget, and your lifestyle. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm so proud to call the Sandhills home and have all of my life. I made it permanent when I moved back to North Carolina after finishing dental school. I was born and grew up in Fayetteville and graduated from Terry Sanford High School where I played both basketball and tennis. When we meet, you will quickly realize basketball was my passion. At 6 feet, 5 inches tall, I was blessed with the height to excel on the court and the brains to excel in the classroom as well. I continued my education at Duke University where I was honored as a Research Fellow at the Duke University Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC. It was there I finished my education at Duke and worked for two years as a real marine biologist under multiple research grants. Unfortunately, sea turtles and shellfish don't value their oral health as much as you do, so I had to move on. With a family of medical processionals, I naturally fell into the field of dentistry and it quickly became my passion. My brother is a neonatologist and my brother-in-law is an orthopedic surgeon and my sister is a registered nurse. As the baby in the family, many of our friends joke and say my parents needed a dentist in the mix, so the rest is history. My family has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the medical and professional community of the Sandhills for many decades.
