About
Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I recall the day I had a conversation with my mother about career options in the eighth grade. I was very interested in science and in particular Chemistry. We talked about my Uncle Jack and how he was a dentist. He was a great role model to me, a tremendous mentor. He really enjoyed being a dentist and had a fantastic life balance. In ninth grade, my science teacher asked all the students to write themselves a letter he would then mail in the future. I wrote in the letter that I wanted to major in Chemistry and become a dentist. In High School and college, I visited several dental offices and realized this was the profession for me. Ten years after writing that letter, I received it in the mail and found tremendous satisfaction that the path I set for myself was my true calling. I enjoy working with patients, the procedural aspect of dentistry and having a positive impact on people's lives.What I want my patients to know about me:I work very hard on my profession and life balance. I have been involved with hospital dentistry and medical education my entire career. It is very satisfying sharing my experience and knowledge with young professionals. I enjoy the variety hospital dentistry offers and the opportunity to work closely with my medical colleagues on complex medical/dental patients. I look forward to practicing dentistry for years to come.What I do when I'm not seeing patients: I enjoy spending time with my family and supporting my wife Lisa and my sons, Gordon and Garrison in their efforts. My passion is fishing, being on the water, biking and relaxing with family and friends.
