About
Dr Craig Shapiro is a second generation dentist who graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1996. He was the former owner of Middletown Dental Group which was started in 1973, by his father Mark Shapiro. He sold the practice to Great Expressions Dental Center in 2018 after running the practice for 18 years. Dr Shapiro has been treating patients of the Hudson Valley for the past 23 years. He has seen some families for over three generations. "I have some college-aged patients that I began to treat when they were pre-schoolers. It is rewarding for me to see these kids grow up with healthy smiles" After growing up in Rockland County, Dr Shapiro attended the University of Hartford , earning a BS degree in biology. He then earned a DMD degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, followed by a one year program of advanced education in general dentistry at Columbia University. He actively pursues continuing education and has received advanced training in endodontics and cosmetic procedures. He is trained in invisalign, which provides metal free orthodontics to patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association.
