About
I grew up in Vacaville, California until age 11 when my family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. My father is an orthodontist, so I became interested in dentistry by watching and working with him. It's extremely satisfying to help a patient who has dental needs to gain a functional and beautiful smile. In orthodontics, I saw many children and teenagers whose self-confidence greatly increased when their treatment was completed. This gave me the desire to pursue dentistry as a career. I attended Brigham Young University and then the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Although I originally planned to become an orthodontist like my father, I grew to love general dentistry during school and decided not to specialize. However, I still love orthodontics too, and I have worked and trained with my father for several years. I have been married since 2009 and my wife and I have two young daughters. During my free time, I love working on creative projects. While attending dental school, I helped create a card and dice game called Luck O' The Dice. I also enjoy writing, running, biking, and gardening. One of my favorite parts of dentistry is getting to know my patients. I look forward to helping you with your dental needs!
