About
Dental School: University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine 2013/DDSUndergraduate School: Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University 1998/ BS Stomatology and Dental Medicine Dr. Salazar was born in Lima, Peru, but moved to Dundee, Scotland shortly thereafter. When he was 5 years old, he and his family moved back to Peru. Dr. Salazar was then enrolled into a British School called Markham College. After graduating from high school, he attended Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Stomatology and Dental Surgery in 1998 and has been practicing privately since. In 2003, Dr. Salazar had the opportunity to work for Dr. Greg Vigoren in Southern California for a few months learning how to build a successful practice. In March 2010, Dr. Salazar moved to Atlanta and worked as a Dental Assistant while applying to universities in the United States. He was accepted into the International Student Program of the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver in June 2011 and graduated in December 2013. In his spare time, Dr. Salazar enjoys playing sports such as tennis, volleyball, soccer and basketball. He and his wife, Geraldine, are expecting their first child in late September! Dr. Salazar also enjoys watching movies, traveling and relaxing at the beach. While he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, Dr. Salazar has a special interest in Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry. Patients can visit Dr. Salazar at the DentFirst Smyrna and Lenox locations.
