About

Dr. David P. Wickness was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois. He attended Indiana University, graduating in 1997 with a bachelors degree in biology. He then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2001. Since graduation, Dr. Wickness has completed over 500 hours of continuing education with an emphasis on complex restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. The majority of these hours were completed at the Dawson Center for advanced dental study in St. Petersburg, Florida and the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Wickness is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Tennessee Dental Association, and the Nashville Dental Society. Dr. Wickness and his wife Rachel have three daughters, Marissa, Ava and Lennon.

Very professional and excellent care with regard to comfort and point on treatment. Careful and thorough exam exemplifying a strong educational background in dentistry. I felt confident and relaxed during my procedures. While I am a new patient, I found the staff way above average in their fields. They're friendly and focused on professional comfort and care. Dr. Wickness is SUCH a great dentist! He is a very genuine person who genuinely cares about his patients as well as their dental health. He is a very reasonable dentist who is willing to work with you through whatever financial or dental situation you may be going through. I was dealing with pain from an abscessing tooth & he saw me immediately when his office opened up & got me in for a root canal by 11:30am. I absolutely love the Wickness family! No other dental office family can compare!

I went for a cleaning and new patient appointment today. Lilia did a great job and was so friendly and professional. She was very considerate of my concerns ( sensitivity ) and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. I haven't yet had any dental work done by Dr. Wickness but was very impressed with his kind demeanor and professional approach. This office was recommended to me by two different people and I am very thankful to find such friendly and caring people. Very pleased!

Exam was thorough (looking out for all oral health rather than just tooth decay) and my inquiry on a sensitive tooth was addressed. Options for treating now or later were presented with no pressure to choose an option, make another appointment or commit to anything today. I feel confident I'll be told when it's time to replace a filling or get a crown to avoid large problems.

Lilia does a fabulous and thorough job cleaning my teeth. Plus I love listening to her talk about Cuba. They get you in on time and out on time, no long waits. Dr. Wickness is always friendly and caring. Fortunately I haven't had to have any work done. . . yet!
