About
Dr. Dena Scherer was born and raised in Douglas, located in the southeastern region of Georgia. She was an honor graduate at Coffee High School in 1996. Receiving her A.S. degree from South Georgia College in 1998, she continued her education by graduating Magna Cum Laude from The University of Georgia in 2000, earning her B.A. in Chemistry. She then received her dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2004. A Board Certified Dentist, Dr. Dena is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Eastern District Dental Society respectively. To keep abreast on current dental advances she has always exceeded her continuing education requirements. She has devoted her career to complete family dental care, comfortably treating patients in all stages of life. Dr. Dena states that ``it brings her great joy and gratification knowing that she helps to restore and maintain her patients oral health and their smiles.`` Dr. Dena is married to Dr. Chip Scherer and mother to three small children, Chase, Camryn, and Chyler. She and her family live in Madison, Georgia. They are members of the First United Methodist Church. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, exercising, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
