About
Dr. Dennis P. Pryor received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Military Academy. Upon graduation, he spent two years in the US Army Signal Corps until being accepted to Dental School at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Pryor completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Fairleigh Dickinson and returned to service in the US Army Dental Corps. After several years practicing General Dentistry Dr. Pryor was selected for an Orthodontic Residency conducted at Ft. Knox, Kentucky and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Pryor completed his Orthodontic Residency as well as obtaining a Masters Degree in Oral Biology from the University of Louisville. During his career in the US Army Dental Corps, Dr. Pryor has served as Staff Dentist for Moncrief Army Hospital and Staff Orthodontist at Ft. Knox, Kentucky and Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Dr. Pryor has also served as mentor for minor Oral Surgery to the General Practice Residents at Moncrief Army Hospital, and as instructor for Orthodontics to the General Practice Residents at Ft. Knox. Upon completion of his tour at Ft. Polk, Louisiana, Dr. Pryor elected to leave active service and open a private practice in Springfield, Virginia. Although in private practice, Dr. Pryor continued to serve in the Virginia Guard until retiring from the Guard in 2006. His service in the Guard included a tour in Iraq in 2004. For over twenty years, Dr. Pryor has been providing quality Orthodontics for the residents of Northern Virginia. While his primary service area consists of Springfield, Burke, Fairfax Station, Newington and Lorton, Dr. Pryor has patients from as far away as Ashburn and Stafford. Dr. Pryor is a member of the American Dental Society, the Northern Virginia Dental Sociey, the American Association of Orthodontists and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
