About
Dr. Karnavas was born, raised, and educated in Pittsburgh. After attending the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate education in Biology and Chemistry, Dr. Karnavas furthered her education with a doctorate of Dental Medicine followed by her Specialty in Orthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2010, Dr. Karnavas began volunteering with FOCUS Pittsburgh, a nationwide movement to "provide action-oriented and sustainable solutions to poverty in communities across America." In October of 2015, Dr. Karnavas co-founded a dentistry clinic at FOCUS Pittsburgh and continues to act as a Dental Director of the program, dedicating her spare time to providing free dental care to underprivileged youth and adults. Dr. Karnavas resides in O'Hara Township with her husband, Bart, and her two children, John and Nico. She enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, and reading, but most importantly, Dr. Karnavas loves being around and interacting with people. She greatly values her relationships with friends and especially cherishes her family.
