About
Born and raised on the beautiful island of Guam, Dr. Barlan moved to the Paci?c Northwest to complete her bachelor s degree and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Medical Technology from Seattle University. She earned her doctoral degree from Marquette University s School of Dentistry and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program with the U.S. Air Force. After separating from the Air Force, she and her husband moved to northern Virginia where she had been practicing dentistry at the Pentagon Tri-Service Dental Clinic in Washington D.C. Dedicated to the health and comfort of her patients, Dr. Barlan s calming demeanor makes anxious individuals feel at ease with their dental experience. Her practice style and philosophy is based largely in part on a preventative approach to achieve overall oral health. She is committed to dental education and has been continually expanding her knowledge in all facets of dentistry. Dr. Barlan is currently preparing for the Fellowship exam with the Academy of General Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Barlan enjoys baking and spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is a strong supported of Breast Cancer awareness and participates in multiple events every year in honor of her sister.
