Dr. Erica Fisher started Family Dental Care 16 years ago. She Attended Missouri State University and majored in chemistry graduating with honors. She then went on to University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Erica is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and The National Federation of Independent Business. She is premier provider for Invisalign since 2011. She does charity work for places like; Rachel's house, Liberty Women's Clinic, Parkville Women's Clinic, City Union Mission, Tom's Mission and Hillcrest Ministries. Dr. Erica enjoys spending time with her husband, David and their five children; three girls, Madison, Bailey and Morgan and two boys, Aaron and Samuel. She is active volunteering for their schools, watching their sports such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, and football. She loves to shop for shoes, spend time at her church and travel to Florida's beaches.

I went in for a cavity filling and I didn't see Dr. Fisher for more than maybe ten minutes. The entire procedure was done by an assistant with the doctor only coming in to check her work. Neither of their hair was pulled back, but was loose and falling into my face. The assistant did not explain a single thing to me during the procedure and did the entire thing in silence. I also got the feeling that she was operating as if I was a practice dummy and not a person. Following the procedure they explained no aftercare. The entire appointment felt rushed, I felt like I was forgotten on multiple occasions, and it seemed like there was little to no communication occurring.

When I have gone in for cleanings, they tell me I'll need to come back in a couple weeks so they can finish cleaning them. They say I'll hate them if they clean them all that day. My teeth are NOT caked full of plaque, so this made no sense to me and I've never had a dentist do that. Plus, my insurance only covers one cleaning per 6 mos. The "machine" they use to give shots is horrific. They leave the needle in your gums for about a minute. If I skip a cleaning, they scold me like a child.
