About
Dr. Esther Amo-Mensah was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa. She moved to the United States after completing her Undergraduate Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon earning a degree in Political Science. She did her Post- Graduate Studies at York College in New York and later moved to join her husband in Upstate Buffalo, NY. There, she continued her Post- Graduate Studies at D'Youville College where she received Special Distinction Awards in Intellectual Achievements. She later transferred to University at Buffalo where she also received Academic Excellence Award from the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP). She also received a Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Academic Performance from the Student Support Services (SSS). Whiles she was enrolled at the University at Buffalo, she shadowed at the University's Dental School and also at the Pediatric Dental Clinic at the Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY. This experience helped her realize the disparities in dental care. She then decided to commit her life to help meet the need for dental care in all communities especially the underserved. She then pursued her career in Dentistry at the Rutgers School Of Dental Medicine ( formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- UMDNJ). She graduated and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree (DMD). Dr. Esther works hard to address the disparities in dental care. In Feb 2017, she received the MDC- LARP award that recognizes Dentists that are devoted to providing dental treatment for Maryland's most vulnerable population. Dr. Esther has worked with patients of all ages and is experienced in providing quality dental care to the entire family.
