Gary B. Wiele was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended the University Of Missouri- Kansas City, where he earned his doctorate degree in 1983. Dr. Wieles interest in holistic health care was sparked by a cancer diagnosis in 1992. His search for the truth lead him to study nutrition, heavy metal toxicity and structural dysfunction. For over 30 years, Dr. Wiele has maintained a private practice in the St. Louis area, dedicated to structural and holistic dentistry. Dr. Wiele only uses the safest biocompatible materials. Using natural, non-toxic materials and techniques, his goal is to assist each patient in achieving and maintaining long term dental health and overall health.Holistic or biological dentistry encompasses approaches to dental care that not only consider oral health, but the entire body as well. I’ve commuted 12 hours round trip from Iowa for over 15 years to have Dr. Wiele provide dental care. Initially, he corrected a bite misalignment that would cause tooth loss due to excessive pressure. I was in adult braces for the treatment and tooth pain resolved soon after braces were placed. Besides semi yearly cleanings, Dr. Wiele has extracted teeth and provided crowns and fillings where needed for both my husband and I. Being’s I’m a holistic NP, I’m grateful that my personal request for fluoride-free dentistry is honored here as well as conventional fluoride treatment offered to those that want it. As another review stated, Dr. Wiele is skilled at administering anesthetics without pain and he keeps up with latest innovations in general dentistry. The staff is kind and helpful as we’ve had dental insurance over the years and they’ve been helpful submitting it vs. now we have no dental insurance so pay cash. I’ve referred some patients from Iowa to him and all have been happy.

Dr. Wiele seems to be a knowledgeable dentist however his office policies are less than desirable. His office staff will give you different answers and do not seem to be on the same page. One staff member stated that services would be billed to insurance, while another one told me it was not covered by insurance. His office decided to turn me into collections after no notice had been given to me. When I tried to pay the office directly my check was sent back to me and I was told they could not accept it. Not impressed!

Dr. Wiele is amazing. He not only practices biological dentistry, but he also has done an amazing job on my son's expander and soon will put on his braces. I follow all of his recommendations (electric toothbrush, water pic, retainer to block my grinding) and could not be happier.

You're in good hands with Dr. Wiele. I drive from out of state to work with Dr. Wiele. He is so fast which is important - you don't want to have a jaw wide open for any longer than you need to! I never felt a thing when he numbed me - it was flawless and better than any dentist I have ever had (and I have a tons and tons of dental work). He GETS that oral health is 100% connected to overall health. For the first time ever, I could relax and feel confident in the work he was doing; that it was the right thing to do and that is was being done right!

I've been going here for 7 years and feel fortunate to have him as my dentist. Unlike the negative review on here, in 7 years I have never had even 1 "procedure" outside of routine cleanings, which is rare. Nothing has ever been pushed on me, I've never been pressured for anything extra, and the staff is wonderful. Love, love love.

I've been Dr Wiele's patient for 10+ years. He replaced all my amalgam fillings with resin, put me in adult braces and oversees all my dental health. He's very current in dental science and is easy to talk with. His staff is terrific, all friendly and easy going. He's a bit new age-y, but I find that to be a virtue and not a drawback. He even takes cars of my wife's teeth, and she is not a fan of any other dentist in the known universe. I highly recommend him and his office.
