About
Dr. Gaurav Agarwal opened Valley Pediatric Dentistry in November 2008, with the vision of providing children with the highest quality of specialized dental care. He loves getting to know his patients and their families, and watching them as they grow over the years. He considers it a privilege to be a part of this community and looks forward to seeing familiar smiles around town. Dr. Agarwal has been a resident of Virginia since 1984 and has completed all his education in this beautiful state. He attended James Madison University for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Agarwal then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Agarwal pursued his dream of providing oral health care to children by completing a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry also at Virginia Commonwealth University where he also earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree. He completed the two part process of becoming a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist by passing the National Board Dental Exam in 2007 and is now a Diplomate – American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Agarwal is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, as well as the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. He has also volunteered for the past several years with Give Kids a Smile Day and Mission of Mercy Projects. Dr. Agarwal currently resides in Winchester, where he can remain close to his family and friends. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachna and daughter, Akshi.
