About
Dr. Gavyn Smith was born in American Fork, UT, and grew up in Lindon. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2003, and following high school, served a 2-year church mission in Uruguay. He attended the University of Utah and graduated with his B.S. in Behavioral Science and Health in 2009.Dr. Smith attended Creighton School of Dentistry, getting into the coveted Utah RDEP program, where only a select few residents from Utah were admitted. He graduated dental school in 2013, receiving the Endodontics award for his research and clinical work in Endodontics. Following dental school, Dr. Smith attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center Endodontics Residency. While there, he served as chief resident during his final year of residency, and earned a national research award at the AAE convention. He finished his residency in 2013, and moved back home to Utah. Dr. Smith is excited to be back home with family and friends. He has a wonderful wife, and two beautiful daughters. When not doing dentistry, Dr. Smith enjoys traveling, movies, trying new foods, and going to Thanksgiving Point with his family.
