About
After graduating with distinction from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1994, Dr. George Mansfield served honorably in the US Navy for nearly ten years. He completed his General Practice Residency (GPR) at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA in 1995. LCDR Mansfield also served as Division Officer aboard USS America (CV-66) and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), proudly earning the Navy Commendation Medal (2 awards) and the Navy Achievement Medal (3 awards). From 2001 to 2008, Dr. Mansfield was an Associate Professor of Operative Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He was blessed to have mentored hundreds of future dentists in both the pre-clinical technique lab and on the clinical floor. On March 11, 2002, the doors of Seymour Family Dentistry (SFD) opened to serve the dental needs of the people of Seymour and surrounding communities. Dr. Mansfield takes pride in creating smiles for a lifetime for you and your family. SFD's commitment to community also allows Dr. Mansfield to enjoy the best part of his job, which is participating in such events as Kids Fest, Mouthguard Mania, and Dental Health Month elementary school presentations. George can be found with family, friends, and his wife and two kids tailgating, cooking his "world famous" chili, and dominating at corn hole at IU football games in Bloomington. Lastly, he has a strong faith that IU will regain its prominence in basketball. GO IU!!!
