About
Dr. Phillips is a native Hoosier, growing up in Northwest Indiana. After attending Indiana University in Bloomington and graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD), he practiced restorative dentistry for 5 years. With the support of his loving family, he returned to IUSD to complete a residency in periodontics with a minor in oral pathology. After graduating in 1992 with a Master's of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Periodontics, he opened his current practice in Columbus, Indiana. In addition to The Columbus Center for Periodontics and Dental Implants, Dr. Phillips is involved in dental education holding the position of Clinical Professor of Periodontics at IUSD and is involved with Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. He maintains the Columbus Dental Forum, a study club for dentists in and around the Columbus area. He has presented at local, state and national meetings. Dr. Phillips is a Past President of the Indiana Dental Association and has authored several scientific articles on periodontics and dental Implantology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and has been awarded Fellowships in The American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists, The International Team for Implantology and The Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Phillips resides in Columbus with his wife, Stephanie. They have two sons, Evan and Sam and two dogs, Maggie, a Cocker Spaniel and Roman, an English Cream Golden Retriever.
