My appt was 10am, I got it the same day- today- I show up at 945, nobody is there even though I spoke with the desk at 8am. I called & the woman answering the phone answers for that location elsewhere. The dentist comes out from another hallway room… lets me in and hands me paperwork. It’s just us -I fill it out, with my insurance info-this insurance card I just got in January with an active date on the card. He says he needs to call &make sure it’s valid.. while he calls”my insurance company” He reads off my ID numbers & member numbers hes says I have no insurance they can’t identify me or the card & that I haven’t had insurance since 2005, that’s not possible. For many reasons.I was super worried & he told me I could pay CASH for an exam, I declined & called my insurance company just to find out none of that is true, he never called, & my name&numbers were never typed in or searched to them. I’mfreaked out & the entire time he’s giggling & singing. So who did he give my info to?
After visiting Dr. Carnegie today, I left feeling extremely offended. To begin, I walk into his office 15 mins before my appointment and the office is completely empty. Looks straight out of the 1950s. Eventually he notices me (he's the only one working) and pushes a clipboard out for me to fill out. No hi hello etc. I fill out the form and hand it back to him. He giggles to himself while singing and copies my military ID numbers for insurance. Then scoffs at me and tells me he doesn't know what military insurance is. However, on his desk is a bill from my exact same provider. I point to it and tell him my insurance numbers and company. He keeps laughing. I don't know what was so funny. It seemed like he simply did not want to work with me or my husband who tried to step in and explain. Strangest doctor experience of my life. I had to leave because I was genuinely weirded out and scared.
Recommended 150%. He's an excellent professional. It was easy to schedule an appointment. He explained my dental disease in detail. He takes care of his patients.
Not a good experience at all. First of all, I wasn't given an x-ray vest when taking x-rays which is definitely not safe. Also, normally during a teeth cleaning, you are told to periodically spit into the vacuum tube. I was told to periodically swallow. He was a nice enough guy but it was not a good experience.
