For over 25 years, Dr. Herbert Wilmer has proudly served the Denver, East Lincoln, and Lake Norman communities with cosmetic and family dentistry. A North Carolina native, Dr. Wilmer earned his DDS from UNC’s School of Dentistry in 1982. A few years later, after moving to the Lake Norman area, he opened his dental practice in the heart of Denver, NC, on Highway 16. Dr. Wilmer is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS). Dr. Wilmer is committed to the dental health and appearance of his patients as evidenced by his ongoing study of the latest advancements in dentistry. Dr. Wilmer and his staff understand the importance of technological advancements in the field and stay abreast of the latest techniques and products that can help them better care for their patients. When sitting in his chair, you can rest easy knowing that you are in the hands of a very skilled and caring dentist. Dr. Wilmer’s passion for dentistry extends well beyond his office. Every year Dr. Wilmer serves as a volunteer dentist for the North Carolina Baptist Men’s Dental Bus treating dental patients and teaching them about proper dental care. He also is an avid supporter of local school athletics, including the Sherrills Ford Optimists. You may have even seen his signs at the East Lincoln High School football stadium. Personally, Dr. Wilmer enjoys playing golf, boating on Lake Norman, and spending time with his friends and family, especially wife Laura, son Chip and daughter-in-law Mary Ann, and two grandchildren, Luke and JD.
