Care Philosophy

For over thirty-five years Dr. James (Jim) Forester has provided state-of-the-art cosmetic and restorative dental care in the Atlanta area, and has practiced in Johns Creek, GA since 1997. He earned his Associate Degree from Oxford College in 1975, his Bachelor™s Degree in Chemistry from Emory University in 1977, and his D.D.S. from Emory in 1981. A self professed Continuing Education junkie, he continually expands his education and has been fortunate to learn from some of the best clinical dentists around the world. He has completed intensive coursework at the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Academy in Florida, and most recently, the Kois Center in Seattle, one of the country™s leading institutions of advanced dental training where he was promoted this year from Mentor to Clinical instructor. A Clinical Instructor (CI) is a Kois Center Mentor who has an excellent understanding of the Kois Center concepts and applies these principles in their daily practice. In addition, this person has a genuine desire to teach others the Kois Center principles. Currently he serves the Kois Center by helping other dentists on topics such as occlusion, dental esthetics and rehabilitation, dental implants, and crown and bridge dentistry. He helped start a Kois Study Club in the Atlanta area, and has served on the Board of the Georgia Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as the President. He has been happily married to Jenny since 1982. Jenny is a high school special education teacher. They have 3 grown children. He is a member and elder at Perimeter Church. He maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Equilibration Society, the Georgia Dental Association, the Pankey Institute, the Kois Center, and has participated in multiple mission trips to Guatemala and volunteered at the Good Samaritan Clinic.
