Dr. Jim Harrell, Jr. is a native of Elkin, NC and has been practicing dentistry in his hometown for over 40 years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and then followed in his father's footsteps to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia. As a past president of the North Carolina Dental Society and respected leader within the American Dental Association, he values the significance of continuing education and advancements in the field of dentistry. Throughout his entire career, Dr. Harrell has sought to treat every patient like family, helping them both in and out of the office to reach their dental and personal goals. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Harrell loves to keep up with his favorite Tarheel sports teams, garden, golf, and spend time with his grandchildren.
