Care Philosophy

Dr. James G. Shortell received his undergraduate education at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1977 and has been in private practice since then. The practice has been at its current location since 1979. Since obtaining his dental degree, Dr. Shortell has been a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Association.

Dr. Shortell is great about explaining exactly what is happening. He uses the latest technology and is very knowledgable and thorough. I've had several different dentists that I've liked but Dr. Shortell is by far the one I trust the most with my care. He's always been right on time as well, even though he spends all the time I've ever wanted talking things through with me. My wife had to get a root canal and he got her in with a specialist within an hour!
