About
Dr. James "Jimmy" Talbot was born in Tate, Georgia and grew up in both Cobb and Ellijay. He attended Undergraduate school at the University of Georgia where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology in 1981. Following the completion of his degree, he attended Dental School at Northwestern University and graduated in 1986. Dr. Talbot has three sons, all musicians. George is 26 and getting his doctorate in music at the University of Hong Kong. Austin, 22, is at Berry College and majoring in voice and low brass. Nathan, 20, is also at Berry majoring in percussion. Dr. Talbot enjoys gardening, golf and being involved in community activities. Faith is important to Dr. Talbot and he has served several positions within his church. He also served two terms on the Gilmer County Board of Education. Dr. Talbot is trained in oral sedation and has extensive training in endodontics. He is extremely passionate about General Dentistry because he is able to provide a wide range of treatment and services to his patients. Whether it is a single tooth filling or full-mouth rehabilitation, Dr. Talbot loves being able to walk his patients through their treatment so they understand what is happening and how it will help.
