About
Dr. Jason Raines was born and raised in Central New Jersey. From an early age, he had an interest in both science and art, so for him, the field of dentistry was an easy choice. Dr. Raines graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University, New Brunswick with a BA in Genetics. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The University of Maryland Dental School, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery (the first dental school in the world!) and completed a General Practice Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. At Harbor-UCLA, Dr. Raines treated patients with complex medical issues and extensive dental problems. He was awarded the Resident of the Year Award for exceptional service and skill with compassion and dedication. To Dr. Raines, dentistry provides him a creative outlet where he can meet new people and help them achieve a healthy smile that they are proud of. "Being able to create a lasting work of art in a patient's mouth is extremely rewarding, and I take pride in the outcomes and appearance of my patients' smiles. It is my goal to deliver dental care in a pain-free, gentle manner, with the potential of completely altering a patient's perception of what dentistry is all about." Giving back to the community has also always been something Dr. Raines has been passionate about. He has implemented various programs in Baltimore City promoting Access to Care as anAlbert Schweitzer Fellow. Dr. Raines also participates with organizations such as "Give Kids a Smile" and "Dentistry From the Heart" providing free dentistry to those in need. Dr. Raines stays active and current in dentistry through his professional memberships in theAcademy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association as well as multiple continuing education programs. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontics Honorary Society
