About
Dr. Hendrix graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business while also completing the pre-dental and pre-medical curriculum. Dr. Hendrix then earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, Maryland. It was this degree that enabled Dr. Hendrix to practice general (family) dentistry. There, he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the premier national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Hendrix also served as President of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society and was a member of the Ferdinand J. S. Gorgas Odontological Honor Society. He also received the prestigious Maryland Academy of General Dentistry Award and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry. During a three-year post-doctoral residency program at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Chandler Medical Center, Dr. Hendrix pursued a specialization in orthodontics, earning a joint Master of Science (MS) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics. According to the American Dental Association, only about six percent of dentists complete this advanced specialty education and may call themselves orthodontists. During his residency, Dr. Hendrix conducted and published original research entitled "Relationships Between Cervical Vertebrae and Mandibular Canine Developmental Stages at Starting Age of Peak Height Velocity for the Purpose of Skeletal Maturation Evaluation." Dr. Hendrix continues to pursue excellence in his specialty and consistently exceeds the requirements for continuing education each year by making it a priority to learn from the leaders in his profession. He is proud to be recognized by Main Line Today as a "Top Orthodontist" as voted by his peers.
