Will not recommend Growing Grins to anyone. Dentist was extremely condescending the minute I questioned her treatment plan of stainless steel crowns for a couple small cavities. There are other ways to treat a cavity and she was clearly not tolerating any of my questions. After my persistent questions, she implied that the crowns are easier for HER... I'm assuming she also makes more money that way. Taking my child back to our original dentist as they now accept our insurance, thankfully!

There are options for filling a cavity. I took my child to Dr. Jesse Hoffman for one tooth, she said there were more cavities. She gave only one option, stainless steel crown$. Between my first and second visit with Dr. Hoffman, i got a second opinion. She questioned me as to why i felt i needed a second diagnosis. Due to the extensive steel crowns she suggested, and researching the issue of hot and cold sensitivities, I decided to have her extract just the one problem tooth that we had agreed upon. She suggested a fluoride treatment. I refused. Again she tried to sell me on her procedure$. After discussing further treatment, I decided that I would go to another dentist. We both agreed that would be best. At this point, she reminded me that she was obligated to report anything SHE deemed to be dental neglect to DHS!!! Uninformed Consent: there are issues associated with steel crowns which she is obligated to mention to parent$.

We LOVE Dr. Jessie. I have had many experiences with pediatric dentists and almost always leave wondering why in the world these people even decided to work with kids. Jessie is kind and patient. We are looking forward to seeing her at her own practice from now on.
