Dr. LeMense was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa, where he received his bachelor's degree in biology in 1988. Dr. LeMense received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa in 1992. He then completed a 2-year post-graduate residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, in the AEGD program (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) Dr. LeMense has been in practice at this location since 1995. His practice is family-friendly, and he enjoys seeing patients of all age groups. He is committed to quality patient care through continuing education. Professional associations: American Dental Association Kansas Dental Association Academy of General Dentistry Fifth District Dental Society Great Plains Dental Study Club Kansas City Dental Abstract Study Club Dr. LeMense received the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2003. The Fellowship Award was earned by completing 500 hours of continuing dental education, passing a comprehensive written exam, and fulfilling 5 continuous years of membership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. LeMense was voted the Best Dentist in Kansas City by the readers of KC Magazine. He has been recognized several times as one the Top Dentists in Kansas City by KC Magazine. Dr. LeMense has been married for over 30 years to his wife, Paula. Their son Zach is pursuing a career in medicine
