About
Joel I. Nathanson, D.M.D., M.A.G.D., D.ABDSM graduated from Columbia University and received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. After serving a tour of duty as an officer in the U.S. Army Dental Corps at Ft. Stewart, Georgia, Dr. Nathanson began practicing comprehensive dental care in the Baltimore area in 1985. A respected professional in his field, Dr. Nathanson aims to provide the best dental experience possible for his patients. His entire career has been a study in pursuing the highest and most advanced dental techniques and technologies for the benefit of his patients. Dr. Nathanson is the first dentist in Maryland to receive post-doctoral training at the prestigious Lee Institute for Bioesthetic Dentistry in San Francisco. He was also the first general dentist in Baltimore County to institute WaterLase® ``No Shot, No Drill`` dental care in his practice. In 2007, Dr. Nathanson received the Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, an international organization comprised of over 35,000 dentists dedicated to improving patient care through continuing education. Less than 2% of all practicing dentists ever achieve Mastership in the Academy. He has performed over 1,500 hours of continuing education and still attends courses on a regular basis.
