After completing a comprehensive general dental practice residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the VA Hospital System, he opened his first private practice. His professional achievements include being a founding member of the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), member of the International Dental Implant Association (IDIA), and Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, among many other notable affiliations. Dr. Coolicans expertise is unparalleled, having successfully placed nearly 10,000 Mini and One-Piece Dental Implants since 2004. He has had the privilege of training under the guidance of Dr. Todd Shatkin of Buffalo, N.Y., a renowned expert who has performed more of these surgeries than any other doctor worldwide.
