About
Dr. John Kong is a periodontist and a dental implant specialist, one of the roughly 1% of dentists board-certified by The American Board of Periodontology. He is a graduate of the Bronx H.S. of Science and finished his undergraduate education at Amherst College / Wesleyan University. He received his dental education from SUNY School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook, where he graduated at the top of his class. He then completed a 3 year, full-time residency in Periodontics & Implantology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey while also getting published in peer-reviewed dental journals on Bone Regeneration. He was recently appointed as Chief of Implantology at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, a non-profit MediSys Health Network. In addition, he's received certification in Invisalign braces and completed a one year post-graduate program on Full-Mouth Reconstruction: Implants, Aesthetics, and Occlusion at NYU. He has extensive training and expertise in periodontics, oral reconstructive surgery, implants, sedation dentistry and comprehensive treatment planning. Dr. Kong will impress you with a high level of skill and technical abilities. He regularly attends continuing education lectures and employs the latest equipment and cutting edge techniques to provide his patients the most up to date procedures and healthy smiles. He has a warm and caring bedside manner and is sensitive to his patients' needs. He is also active in his profession as a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI) and American Academy of Periodontology (AAP). Dr. Kong lives in Forest Hills, NY and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. His hobbies include music and cooking with tobasco sauce.
