About
Dr. Kwant, is a Utah native, and grew up in the Holladay area of Salt Lake City. Following his graduation from Olympus High School, he then attended the University of Utah, where he earned an undergraduate degree in biology. While in dental school at Tufts University, he was one of the few selected to receive a United States Air Force Health Professions Scholarship, and graduated with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree in 1999. Following dental school, Dr. Kwant entered the United States Air Force as a full-time dentist and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. This residency provided advanced training in all areas of dental specialties and was the foundation for his commitment to providing unparalleled service to all of his patients. He proudly served as an active duty Air Force dentist for almost four years, where he cared for our nation’s service members and families. After completing his active duty obligation, Dr. Kwant ascended the ranks of the United States Air Force and became the Dental Flight Commander at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He served with distinction, achieved the rank of Major, and received two Meritorious Service medals. Dr. Kwant is the original founder of Apex Family Dental, and opened up the first of our offices in 2004. From the beginning, Dr. Kwant has instilled a mindset that a dental practice should be focused on both quality and convenience for all patients. Apex Dental offices are among the few that use laser, CAD/CAM, and CT technology. Dr. Kwant has always strived to create a cutting edge environment in the dental community that is entirely patient centered. He has received hundreds of hours of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, laser dentistry, sedation dentistry and more.
