Dr. Cangas is a big kid. For most adults, this would make a professional career difficult. For Dr. Cangas, it is his biggest strength. Dr. Cangas’ easy-going personality helps him connect easily with children making their dental experiences enjoyable and non-threatening. In addition to providing the highest quality care, Dr. Cangas’ main goal is to promote a positive attitude toward dental health and oral health care. He is a husband and a father, which helps him empathize with parents and treat all his patients as though they were his own. Dr. Cangas is certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has lectured in Europe, Asia, and Central America and formerly served as an assistant professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Army Postgraduate Dental School.
