About
Dr. Joseph Alwan was born in Lebanon in 1968. In 1993, he moved to the United States of America where he pursued his studies and worked in different fields to support himself financially. In 1994, he attended Los Angeles City College and graduated in 1996, with a certificate in dental technology. Soon after, he worked in dental laboratories as a dental technician and, at the same time, he attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in 2003 and a Master of Science in Oral Biology in 2005. In 2008, Dr. Alwan graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD) with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). In August 2009, Dr. Alwan joined the US Army where he served for 8 years. He was stationed in several places in the States as well as abroad. Along the way, he earned several certificates in dental education and commendations for superb performance and hard work. Dr. Alwan complete his active duty in 2016 and then resided in Virginia. At the time being, Dr. Alwan is the owner of Herndon Healthy Smiles Dental Office, where he dedicated himself to provide a pleasant dental experience to his patients.
