About
Dr. Hartman attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1982 - 1986 for undergraduate work, then graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1990 with a DDS, Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a member of the Indiana Dental Association, American Dental Association and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Hartman has been practicing for over 25 years and is consistently working to take advantage of the newest and most effective technology in the field of dentistry. Dr. Hartman has also done extensive advanced education in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry through The Hornbrook Group. Dr. Hartman has done advanced training in the use of Dental Laser Techniques, and he has attended Oral Facial Masterclass and Dermal Filler Course, both for the administration of facial aesthetics treatments. He has also served as a mediation consultant for the IDA's "peer review" board. The most important things in Dr. Hartman's life are his faith and his family. Dr. Hartman grew up in New Albany, and he and his wife still live in the same house they bought here in town 24 years ago. If you see him around, be sure to say hello! Dr. Hartman enjoys staying active and spending time with his family. In addition, Dr. Hartman has done a number of dental mission trips to various countries, including Honduras and The Dominican Republic. In October 2014, Dr. Hartman returned from a 2 week mission trip to Nepal, providing dental care for people in need. This year he will be going to the Dominican Republic. In 2015, he along with his staff members created a non-profit, Hartman Dental For A Reason INC., to raise funds for various local organizations through a 5k race.
