About
Dr. Hutta is one of the most celebrated orthodontists in the entire Midwest. Known in Central Ohio for his dedication to amazing results, his passion for his craft and emerging techniques, and his caring personality, it's no surprise that tens of thousands of families have trusted their smiles to Dr. J. Lawrence Hutta. Dr. Hutta's skills are so advanced and sought after, he has had orthodontists from around the country and even as far away as Japan make the journey to Ohio to study his techniques. He is also educating the next generation of dentists and orthodontists at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he is on faculty and lectures several times a month. Dr. Hutta graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he was selected into the prestigious dental honorary society, Omicron Kappa Epsilon. Dr. Hutta went on to complete his general dental residency and a two-year graduate program in orthodontics at The University of Rochester School of Dentistry/Eastman Institute for Oral Health. Dr. Hutta is a member of the prestigious American Association of Orthodontics, the Ohio Dental Association and The Columbus Dental Society. He also has the honor of being a Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics, a special distinction held by a select number of orthodontists. A proud supporter of the community, Dr. Hutta supports local elementary schools and gives scholarships to deserving high school graduates. He is the proud father of three girls, Lexie, Tori and Tayce. When he's not creating beautiful smiles, you can find Dr. Hutta at an OSU football or basketball game, playing golf, or spending time with family. Dr. Hutta resides in Westerville.
