About
Dr. Katie Bowen was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. She attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, where she was a cheerleader and a soccer player. Following high school, she continued her education and soccer career at Transylvania University, where she graduated with honors obtaining a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. Dr. Bowen attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and graduated with high distinction in 2014. She was honored by receiving awards for excellence in Periodontology as well as in Oral Pathology. She is thrilled to treat patients in a private practice setting and has a broad array of specialties such as CEREC, Invisalign, and implant dentistry. Outside the office she likes to spend time with her husband, Matthew, her family, and friends. She enjoys staying active by running, playing tennis, or spending time outdoors. Dr. Bowen also loves to travel, having spent time in Europe and South America, and looks forward to exploring other exotic locales in the future.
