Dentistry really is both an art and a science, which is one of the reasons why I became fascinated with this profession in the first place. Dentistry combines art, science, and service to the community – all of my favorite things – all in one profession. My favorite dental quote is: 'Be the reason someone smiles today.' Education Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish – Indianapolis, Indiana Indiana University School of Dentistry, Doctorate of Dental Surgery – Indianapolis, Indiana Continuing Education & Professional Memberships Dr. DelaCruz-Wright is a current member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Indiana Dental Association (IDA), Indianapolis District Dental Society (IDDS) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She is also Invisalign Certified. Life & Hobbies Dr. DelaCruz-Wright, also known as Dr. Kat, was born and raised in the United States, and her heritage is Filipino. Proficient in Spanish, while also having the ability to understand the Filipino language Tagalog, Dr. Kat loves exploring other cultures, as well as new restaurants and foods. She married her high school sweetheart, and they currently live in downtown Indianapolis with their dog, Rocco, an Australian Shepherd. Dr. Kat has a passion for dentistry, art and science. When she is not practicing dentistry, her hobbies include fitness and practicing an active lifestyle, spending quality time with her family and friends, teaching Rocco new tricks, and playing the piano. She has interests in art, photography, community service, and traveling. Dr. Kat enjoys the little things in life.
