About
Dr. Eaton grew up on a dairy farm near Trenton, Illinois, 40 miles east of St. Louis. She graduated from Indiana University dental school in 1999. Immediately after dental school she served Native Americans in Montana through the Indian Health Service. She has provided dental care for the less fortunate for the majority of her dental career. Relieving pain and suffering has been her passion. Dr. Eaton has been a Rotary Club member since 2009 and finds the weekly meetings to be inspiring and fulfilling while providing community service locally and improving people's lives around the world. The meetings have interesting and informative programs dealing with topics of local and global importance. Dr. Eaton likes to relax by going on walks, working out at Planet Fitness, reading the newspaper and watching the Home and Garden Network. Since June 2016 Dr. Eaton's family volunteers weekly for 1-3 hours at SHARE, the Society for Hooved Animals Rescue and Emergency, a not-for-profit humane society started in 2002 near Dewey, Illinois. It houses around fifty horses, donkeys and mules, one goat and an occasional llama. Volunteers feed, water and groom the animals and lead them into their stalls. Caring for the animals is very therapeutic. Mobile Mutts is a charitable organization that transports dogs (and a few cats) from animal shelters in the south that euthanize animals to no-kill shelters in the north that will accept them and adopt them out. They utilize foster families for Saturday overnight stays during transportation. The Eatons usually take one dog each week since August 2017 but have had as many as ten puppies stay over. The family dog, Smooches, looks forward to the visits and enjoys playing with the guest dogs. Dr. Eaton participates in a Spear study group of fifteen local dentists and specialists. The practice is owned and operated by Dr. Eaton. She is the only dentist in the solo private practice. We are not a corporate or commercial dental business with multiple dentists or locations.
