About
Kathy Huber, DDS, is a dental professional with the education, experience and compassion to deliver the highest level of oral health available anywhere. Dr. Huber was born and raised in the small farming community of Calmar, Iowa. She and her siblings learned the family values of honesty, integrity and problem solving from her parents. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree and her Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Iowa, graduated in 1979. Dr. Huber has been recognized and invited to become a member of the most prestigious dental associations and orders. For over twenty years, she has been an active member in the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society, located in Atlanta and respected around the world. She has been an active member in the Georgia Dental Association for over thirty years. As a member of the Northern District Dental Society, she has chaired positions and received the prestigious President's award from the GDA. In 1995, she was awarded Fellowship in the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry and in 2003 she was inducted into the International College of Dentistry. . In 2006 Dr. Huber was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an honorary organization which recognizes dentists for excellence in dental practice, research, leadership and public service. Kathy Huber also believes strongly in giving back to the community. She and other fellow dentists have helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Gwinnett Hospital Foundation through Brighter Smiles for a Brighter Future, an annual fund raising effort that supports funding for the fight against Women's Breast Cancer. Following the Haitian earthquake, Dr. Huber spent a week in Haiti treating the dental needs of victims and local residents. She also regularly donates her time to GMOM, Georgia Missions of Mercy, which provides dental treatment to thousands of the less fortunate. She also participates in the Georgia Dental Association's initiative DONATED DENTAL SERVICES (DDS), which helps serve the people of Georgia on a local level who can't afford it.
