Terrified of Dentists

I saw Dr. Ingber in the mid-70's. The first time I entered his office I was so terrified of needles. When he went to numb my mouth, I grabbed his hand to prevent him from giving me the shot. He realized how scared I was and calmed me down to get dental services done that I needed. He would put some music on, let the water run in the sink and tell me to think I was at the beach. Then I received laughing gas to relax me. Dr. Ingber placed two bridges in my lower teeth in the back. On the visit for the last bridge, I mentioned that I had bitten my mouth badly because of the numbing and he asked me if I wanted to try hypnosis. I tried it and he told me to raise my hand if I felt any pain while he prepared the teeth for a temporary crown without any Novocain. I completed the session and only raised my hand once. I will always remember Dr. Ingber and I do judge dentists I go to on his standards. No one has ever met them. I stopped using him because I left the DC area.

I had all four upper front teeth replaced with crowns at the same time. The results are excellent and all work was completed within one day. I highly recommend the entire team for their professionalism.
