Not very thorough. Doesn't do bite wings or check for oral cancer.
My grade of three stars is a compromise between excellent (Dr. Du is personable, highly skilled, and good with explaining procedures) and negative. Why negative? In neither of my last two six-month check-ups / cleanings over the space of a year did Dr. Du request X-rays, although this had previously been the norm given my dental history. X-rays may have caught a new molar cavity, which got so big that I had to have an expensive and painful root canal only a month after my last visit.
My recommendation for Dr. Du's patients is to take an active role in record keeping and not rely 100-percent on the dentist.
I had my dental cleaning here on June 28, 2022. (When I call for appointment, they said they accept my insurance) I provided my insurance card and after the service was done. I was told that my insurance barely cover anything, and I had to pay 188$ out of pocket. September 27, 2022 I found out that my insurance covered 50% of the service and they charged my insurance 105$ (that means I am supposed to pay 105$, not $188). September 27, 2022 I called them to request for 83$ refund, they literally admitted that they overcharged me 83$ and would refund 83$, and said “we would not keep any of these money, and will send out your check today or tomorrow”. If I did not call my insurance to check, they would have kept/stolen that money because they charged my insurance 105$ 2 days after my service, so they knew I was overcharged 3 months ago, and would not automatically refund the money. they only refund when I found out and called them myself. Very attentive, friendly, and respectful. Office equipment is new and less invasive/uncomfortable. Unlike some previous dentists I've had, Dr. Du didn't try to identify unnecessary procedures.
Excellent bedside manners, very smart and practical and not to mention handsome dentist. His office staff was also very courteous, attentive and understanding.
Dr. Du is fantastic! Very knowledgable, polite, and answered all of my questions and concerns thoroughly. Dr. Du even completed my cleaning, which was unusual for me as my previous dentists have only ever spent a few minutes with me after the cleaning was completed by their staff. The office was very clean and easy to find/park. Definitely would recommend for both adults and kids!
Dr.Du is great dentist! Having visited his office a few times over the past year, I've received nothing but great care and accommodations. His office is very clean, professional, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
My cleaning and whitening session went great! I felt a bit discomfort at first but that's because I have extremely sensitive gums and was reassured I will be fine in a day or so. I recommend Dr. Du, he's a young working dentist but his skills and attention to details is superb.
Can't keep his patients straight. Urged me to over-floss until my gums receded. Closed the office without notifying me when I had taken off from work to make an appointment. Never apologized.
