About
Dr. Kim DeWire is a Lehigh Valley native, graduating from Southern Lehigh High School in 2000. She then went on to obtain a dual degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Ursinus College. After graduating from Ursinus in 2004, Dr. DeWire worked as a research and development polymer chemist for Forbo Adhesives in North Carolina. Dr. DeWire returned to Pennsylvania in 2005 to begin her dental training at Temple University. While at Temple Dental, Dr. DeWire held several positions including student counsel secretary, president of the Stomatognathic Honor Society, student member of the admissions committee, social chair of the Temple's chapter of the American Academy of Women Dentists, and was also involved in the yearbook committee. Upon graduating from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2009, Dr. DeWire completed a general practice residency program at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Dr. DeWire is on staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital, and volunteers her time as an attending at the Muhlenberg Dental Center. She also presents lecture topics to other attendings and residents throughout the year. On Wednesdays, Dr. DeWire provides dental care on the Lehigh Valley Hospital's mobile dental van ``Miles of Smiles``. Dr. DeWire has experience providing dental care to medically compromised patients in assisted living facilities. She also volunteers at the First United Church of Christ in Hellertown. In her spare time Dr. DeWire enjoys spending time with her family. DeWire Dental, LLC is a family practice that focusses on providing high quality care to patients of all ages. Dr. DeWire works with each patient to establish a treatment plan that fits their individual needs and budget.
