Kristy Marker DDS, MS Board Certified Endodontist I have 20 years of clinical experience: I worked with diverse, underserved populations in rural and inner city offices with the National Health Service Corps. I have 13 years experience as an Endodontic specialist in private practice. Currently I am an independent contractor with Brookridge Modern Dentistry in Overland Park and Shawnee Modern Dentistry in Shawnee, KS. I also volunteer my time at UMKC School of Dentistry supervising dental students and residents. I received my board certification from the American Board of Endodontics in 2015. Care Philosophy

I like to talk to my patients. I like to be thorough and I really want you to understand the process. Root canal treatment sounds scary to most people but most of the time it is a fairly straighforward procedure - it just takes time to do well in some cases. I like to help people work through and understand their anxiety.

They got me in quickly. I had a root canal at a previous dentist. Ended up getting a infection 5 yrs later. Kristy took care of me completely. Had to do 2 sessions because of the infection. I would highly recommend her. Very gentle when everything was sensitive. She knew how to handle it all. Explained procedure and what to expect.

No one wants a root canal but based on my treatment in Feb. 2020 by Dr. Marker, I'm ready to put my trust in her again. A quiet, pleasant person who is quite pretty as well.

I was not looking forward to my appointment to have a root canal done on a molar that was cracked in three places, very sensitive resulting in a great deal of pain. Dr. Kristy Marker DDS, MS discussed with me the issues I was having and explained the procedure she was about to perform. After giving enough time for the tooth and gum area to go numb she went to work. I was very surprised that the entire operation was painless. She is very nice and easy to talk to. I definitely would recommend her.

If I could rate a negative star I would! I went to her for tooth pain that had extensive root therapy in the past. I was told it was all in my mind, she couldn't do anything for me. Then tried to criticize my previous Endo and dentist stating the previous work was not necessary. She treated me like I was seeking drugs! It was a Friday and the staff and her were out of parking lot before I was. Today I received therapy elsewhere for a cracked root! I would not recommend this facility!
